Frontline Defence
FolioScan provides a powerful outer layer of defense at the session level. While the SMTP connection is established, simultaneous anti-virus scanning is running to reject infected email without the need to generate reject message to the sending server. It is particularly important to lower the processing workload during virus outbreak.

Multiple Layer Anti-Virus Scanning
Up to 5 different anti-virus layers are integrated into the system. Virus signatures from world renown vendors are automatically updated by FolioScan.

AXM (Active Executable Management)
Managed by system administrator, only authorized senders could send the Windows executable or Browser executable attachments in email with compressed or uncompressed format. AXM would defend unknown virus without relying on the Virus scanner. Preventing unknown virus at all time, substantially minimize the risk of hit by newest virus breed or variants.

Intelligent Anti-Spam System
Without the requirement of any prior training on the system, FolioScan Junk Mail System attains 99.5% accuracy in few days. Mailsage's proprietary content learning system constantly analyses users’ outgoing email in statistical context to provide the bench mark for comparing incoming emails. Real-Time Black Hole List
Over 50 online RBL's are being used by FolioScan scoring system to determine if the sending server is a legitimate entity. This is a far more effective than traditional RBL filter, which easily rejects messages from innocent sender.

Dynamic White List Management System
Keeping track and examiningthe recipients of all outgoing email for each individual user, ensure email from users’ business partners are deliverable to the INBOX. White list or Black list management is refined to each individual user.

Personal Junk Mail Summary
An individual junk mail summary is generated by FolioScan Spam Quarantine periodically to each user. With minimal training, user can examine the junk box and fine tune the spam engine to meet his/her personal favour. On the other hand, FolioScan allows system administrator to manage the spam engine without end user interaction, which is preferable in certain situation.

Support latest technology
FolioScan is built to meet the highest industry standard and the latest anti-spam technologies including SPF (Sender Policy framework), Domain Keys verification and S/MIME signature verification.

Mail Fraud Protection (Phishing or brand spoofing Protection)
It detects all known form of mail fraud like bank fraud, Ebay fraud, etc. and put into Junk box automatically. For confirmed fraud email, it will add a stamp to alert users on those email scam traps. Configurable options are provided to reject all those emails for individual user.

Integration with LDAP and AD
FolioScan is a standalone security gateway working with any SMTP mail system, including Folio Mail, Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino, Sendmail and Linux mail servers. It comes with LDAP and AD (Active Directory) connectors to facilitate seamless integration into customer's existing network infrastructure without any major undertaking.
